Day trips
Fancy a day of relaxing and leisurely cruising along the famous “Turquoise coast”? Then Jump aboard a gullet (spacious Turkish Mediterranean-style wooden yacht) and spend the day exploring Kalkan’s exquisite surroundings by sea.
Accompanied by a captain and a lively crew feel free to sunbathe in comfort, snorkel or just relax in the sun. During your day on the water you will visit Snake and mouse Islands where the water is crystal clear and excellent for swimming and snorkelling. Wash away the years by experiencing a mud bath at Gerenlik bay which is excellent for your skin and also great fun. You will also visit the stunning bays of frank, Camelstone, Aquarium and the vast and impressive Firnaz bay. All provide excellent snorkelling conditions and are breath takingly stunning.
Kalkan Boat Trips
Mouth-watering fresh fish or a BBQ lunch will be prepared for you accompanied by deliciously tasty mezzes, pasta, rice, fresh seasonal vegetables and salads. In addition to this you will also be provided with cheese rolls and fresh fruit at your first stop and cake and tea and coffee at your last stop. A range of soft drinks and alcoholic beverages are available but are not included in the price. Tea, coffee and water are complimentary.
A great way to meet new people is to do the trip on a shared basis with the price per person ranging from 15-20 pounds. If you’d prefer to have the boat and the crew to yourself for the day private hire is also available. With private hire you can enjoy a day with your family and friends and have more flexibility in where you go and what you do. The cost of private hire depends on the amount of people but usually starts from around 200 pounds. Boat trips depart from the harbour at 10.30 and return around 5.30pm.
Moonlight cruises and sunset trips
The sunset in this area is like no other and is best viewed by sea. Watch the sun sink beautifully into the ocean and witness the vibrant oranges, pinks and purples that fill the sky. Then enjoy a BBQ prepared by your crew and drinks under the full moon and sparkling night sky. Tours depart at 19.00 and return to the harbour around 23:00. Again these trips can be enjoyed on a shared basis or by private hire.
The best way to book these trips is through one of the various travel agents or by going down to the harbour in the evening. By doing this you can meet the crews, inspect the boats and choose the one that suits you best.
