We can arrange airport transfers with a reliable, Kalkan-based company from Dalaman and Antalya airports. We advise that you choose this option when booking with us as the streets in Kalkan are difficult to navigate for drivers who are not familiar with the area. If you book a transfer with a company from further afield it may delay your arrival at the villa as many drivers struggle to find the properties. Here is a breakdown of airport transfer costs:

Transportation in Kalkan
Dolmuş Local Minibus
Dolmuş, which are tiny minibuses, are a vibrant aspect of Turkish society. They are also the least expensive mode of transportation. Dolmuş, which means “stuffed,” will make sense to you after you witness one in action. They frequently fill up rapidly, especially on market days when it looks like the entire world congregates there, including livestock and other items. Dolmuş buses go along a predetermined route from early in the morning to late at night to the location shown on the front windscreen. There are few dolmuş stops although most of them stop at bus stations. To hail one, stand by the side of the road and wave to let the driver know you want to get on. Please keep in mind that the local dolmuş service can be somewhat irregular. The dolmuş (mini-buses) run from the centre of Kalkan to Patara beach/ Kaputaş beach and Kaş. The larger buses go to nearby towns like Fethiye and depart from the bus station at the top of the town.
All buses run on a daily basis to the following destinations:
Kaş– The journey takes approximately thirty-five minutes along a pretty coastal road.
Patara town and beach – The journey takes approximately thirty minutes.
Kaputaş beach– The journey takes approximately fifteen minutes and you use the Kaş-Patara service.
Fethiye– This service runs hourly and takes around one and a half hours.
Kalkan Taxis
The bright yellow taxis in Kalkan operate on a fixed tariff system. Registered taxis are all yellow so do not get into any other kind of car. The taxi rank is in the centre of town at the bottom of the high street and the top of the Old Town pedestrianised area. If you are in the marina there is a taxi call button that you can press to alert the rank that you want a taxi. The number for the taxi rank is +90 242 844 31 00. You will find that all taxi drivers have cards with mobile phone numbers that you can send WhatsApp messages to from your villa.
